A Poem For Jim
We lived in the same house
We never fought
You'd say "Watch this Michele"
And I would, never questioning
We were inseperable, you'd teach me
Everything you knew
Telling me about black and white photography
Enjoying our time together
Listening, I learned from you
You had so much patience with me
You never got angry
But then on Runnymede you changed
Laughing at my rape
That's not my Jim, I thought
She was a negative influence on you
I said "You don't need it!"
I couldn't believe you thinking no one really cared
I always cared, I weep because you
Never had to reinvent yourself for
Me, Jim
