ABRACADABRA

I created this for a year-long course I'm taking called ABRACADABRA. It deals with making spiritual art that gives the message of hope and manifestation for the artist and viewer, alike. The instructor, Shiloh Sophia, told us to "paint our pain." She then asked us to give it all our attention, then push past it so that we are not "coming from a place of pain" any longer, and paint that newfound freedom.
I used greens that I disliked, and made them front and center. Afterwards I painted aqua "channels" and yellow "details." Aquamarine is my birthstone. And, I used to really dislike yellow, but now I painted it as the Sun, lighting up the sky and everything in our galaxy! I found joy in the small things that I may have overlooked at one point. I revelled in the fact that my past is gone. And yes, it made me what I am, but it holds no power over me now. I have many gifts, and I'm blessed with a loving family, being an artist,  and a writer too. I'm grateful for the abundance that surrounds me.
I've spent my life in a room, hiding away from reality because I was suffering greatly from abuse. Now, I'm doing things to affirm my worth in this world. I'll probably get a power wheelchair and be able to live a more 'normal' life.

I know that I'll have a good life, because I'll make it so.

Sure, I'll still have moments of doubt and darkness. But I'm working on building a solid foundation for my future. One that has much more resilience and joy than it used to. One that will sustain me and get me through the challenging times, because I'm giving powerful LOVE to Myself. That's new for me, and I'm feeling my way around and past the old patterns that no longer serve me. I'm getting in touch with my Goddess and my Godliness.

It's in each one of us, just waiting to give love to that wounded Inner Child. The One that invites you to come and play in the Light and be seen and heard!

And isn't that what we all want?

Yes, we do, I'll be willing to bet.

Blessed Be.
