Jordan River Anderson

I just watched a CBC documentary about Jordan River Anderson, a young Indigenous peoples and First Nations child who lived in a town in Manitoba. I was not aware that First Nations children with Special needs, like Jordan, did not get free health care like all other Canadians do. If, in 2005, a First Nations child needed, say specialized health care, then the child's parents must surrender their Rights as parents to the Government of Canada and the government assumes Rights of that child or children. In 2017, I believe, the family of Jordan River Anderson were instrumental in creating a law from what was called "Jordan's Principals" stating that any First Nations child who needed Specialized Care will get free health care just like every other Canadian.
It just shows what love can accomplish.
